oh well, we had a good run. I was pretty religious about posting for about 3 years right? and I’m at about 600 posts. so that’s…something.

maybe I’ll just let this site expire now. nah. idk. we’ll see I guess. sorry.

You know what I forgot to bring? my copy of 100 years of solitude…I wanted to bring that because I heart the way Gabriel Garcia Marquez writes…and, um, I wanted to have it on hand as a reference. Oh well. actually, I didn’t bring any books at all…..it would have made the suitcase heavier anyway I guess. and there’s no audiobook copy that I can buy online. poop.

ooh I ate a toasted havarti and tomato sandwhich today for lunch…mmmmmm that was tasty. i’ll probably have another one tomorrow…oh wait i’m going to lola’s…so probably not lol. oh well.

i should do laundry today.

anyway, here’s something I wrote while sitting out on the porch. enjoy.

As I sit here I see static in the sky, a purple-gray haze that whispers the fluttering leaves and flitting wings into existence.

I see the bobbing buds and healing hills that fade in the distance, just as a hurt fades with time.

I see a blushing bird and listen to her chirp. Here, then gone: she says.

and yesterday i pretty much did nothing. I did a lot on the computer. and I watched some stand-up on netflix…and I watched The Jerk…we went to Panera’s for breakfast. And today I took a shower and dried my hair lol. and then we’re going to a restaurant and going to go watch A Chorus Line today…you know, the musical thing. that should be…something.

oh and now i guess we’re going to pick up a bench somewhere that tita veron bought….so I gotta go. but I”ll come back and finish!

I doubt anyone has tried to come to this site in the past few days, but if you have, you will have noticed that everything has been down. My site, and Rae’s site, and the earthmuffin video site…they have all had issues and everything. anytime you tried to go to one of my sites the browser would just come up blank.

turns out there was a security breach in my hosting account and someone had deployed some EVIL CODES that made everything bad. and so I had to upgrade all of my software, and try and figure out where the evil code was located. anyway, in short, I fixed it, and it’s back now. go me.

so here’s what I’m doing. sitting on the bed. posting a blog. and talking on the phone to laura! lol.

yeah that’s about it. Shannon left yesterday, and my mom left the day before that. I’ll start going to Lola’s house next week….probably monday, and then most of the days thereafter until Friday when we leave for Alaska. so that’s the plan.

I’m wasting hours today on “stumbleupon” . if you dont know what that is, it’s this website where you just go and keep clicking the “stumble” button and it just takes you to cool sites tailored to your own interests. so it shows you cool pictures and websites and info, and you just waste time there. that’s fun. I’m kinda bored today.

but the weather is nice. it’s a little hazy, humid…not like madison, but i preferred the dry dry desert heat of vegas. for sure. I guess I could go play farm town for a bit. or Oh I have a bunch of movies I could watch. I was gonna watch that movie “Nine” the musical…with the huge cast list….it looks pretty good. and I’ve had it for a while, just never got around to watching it.

now that I’m here, and not doing much, I’ll probably post a lot of blogs…..so be ready for that influx of emails. haha.

I’m watching the American Idol season finale that I DVRed from earlier today. holy shit. I just want to know who wins already. it’s already 2 am….I can’t last much longer :p and I’m gonna write a god damn book. god dammit.

I’m also on here to let you know that I am committing right now, to start posting again so I can document this whole trip/me writing the next great american novel (whaat? bitches!)…and mostly for my own selfish interest. or so that if I die, my blog can become famous some day. boosh.

I have to meet meghan tomorrow at 10 for coffee.

here’s the agenda for tomorrow:

-coffee at ten

-pick up clothes and other items on my “pack list” from my apartment

-take said items to my moms house

-wash whatever is dirty

-PACK!

-pay rent

-deposit checks

-pickup shannon in beloit at 4

-book airline tickets??

oh yeah, by the way, LAST MINUTE TRAVEL PLAN CHANGES!

I’m not driving. I’m flying. to Las Vegas. you know you’re jealous. we’re spending 2 nights in vegas, and then, um, somehow getting to LA. I’m not sure how yet, I won’t have my car. maybe the bus? amtrak? hitchhike? disapparate??

why? well, i dont trust my car. period. I just put 600 dollars worth of work into it…and then, um, now the brakes are acting up.

so, in short, at the end of june, I’ll probably end up flying back to Madison, and then taking the car to North Dakota. I’m not so nervous about that drive…mostly flat, no rocky mountains, no LA driving…I’m pretty sure my car can do ND. so I’ll drive to sundance from home. not from california. BOOM

i think everyone is just more comfy that way…and to be honest, I was getting some pretty severe anxiety and nervousness whenever i thought about this drive….then, once I had basically decided to fly rather than drive, I had a big Deja Vu while I was sitting in my cubicle at work… and then I got really excited about the whole trip in general, which in truth hasn’t really happened much, at least not as much as it should.

thus, I concluded that my month-long sickness was universe/my psychic ability’s way of telling me that I was not meant to drive, I was meant to fly. SO THERE!!!!!

i’m flying.

and traveling light!

ooh yeah and it’s good because then i dont have to tote all my sundance stuff with me to california, and alaska….saving me about MILLION FUCKING HEADACHES. and um, i’m happy about it.
